Meet the people bringing comic culture into town centres, event venues and the pages of original British comics.
Bringing comic culture to life
Based in Sale, Greater Manchester, Wow Events Management LLP specialises in conventions, markets and shows celebrating comics, film, television and fantasy. Its events bring together fans, traders, creators and performers, taking pop culture into local venues and town centres.
From creator appearances and trading stalls to cosplay and family activities, Wow’s events are about giving people a reason to meet and share their interests. Recent highlights include Sale Comic Con and its work as the event delivery partner for Bury Comic Con, alongside Bury BID and the town’s venues.
Wow’s publishing activity puts original British comics into readers’ hands. Wow Comix Presents #2 follows Mancunian and Impact in Dinosaur on Deansgate, a superhero adventure rooted in Manchester. Wow is also promoting the first issue of Wow Toonz, with both comics announced as free giveaways at Spooky Con while supplies last.
