Description
C’mon, grab your friends — ADVENTURE TIME is BACK with AN ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES from a star-studded cast of cutting-edge creative talents! “BEST OF BUDS” starts here with a brand-new adventure nearly a decade in the making! When Finn and Jake save the newly installed Computer Princess from the clutches of the evil Ice King — he just wants a bride, OK, is that too much to ask?! — the two escort her back to the Computer Kingdom, where she gives our totally mathematical adventurers a new quest: find the powerful guide for heroes — the Enchiridion — and bring it back to her, so she can scan it for her digital archive! But where are they going to find it? And how?! An epic journey awaits Finn and Jake, but can they remain best of buds throughout their quest? Or is their friendship about to be put to the test?!
Fantasy and friendship unite as the beloved animation icons of Adventure Time return to comics to pick up where their Eisner Award–winning adventures left off! It all begins in “Best of Buds Part 1” by cartoonist and animator Nick Winn (Bloody Mary) — plus the first chapter of new monthly backup feature by classic Adventure Time writer/storyboard artist and 2024 LA Times Book Prize Finalist Derek Ballard (Cartoonshow)!

Individual issues
Most single issues we upload are new, or selected in the best condition available to us. Vintage copies still have age-related wear: please check the individual listing’s grade, description and scans. We aim for higher-grade examples where possible, and prices reflect condition. A general description is not a guarantee of mint condition.
Common condition abbreviations
- NM · Near Mint
- Very well preserved, with only minor wear or small defects.
- VF · Very Fine
- An attractive copy with a moderate defect or several smaller ones.
- FN · Fine
- More visible wear, which may include a significant defect or several smaller ones.
- VG / G · Very Good / Good
- Increasingly noticeable handling wear and defects. Read the specific listing closely.
These are broad explanations of common terms, not third-party certification. See the CGC grading scale for a detailed reference.
Mystery bags, bundles & older British comics
Mystery bags and bundles may include comics with markings or more noticeable wear. Older British comics sometimes have a customer’s name or address written in pen or pencil by a newsagent when reserving their copy. These period markings are part of some surviving copies; please check the listing rather than assuming every copy is unmarked.
You’re welcome to ask for more photos
Want a closer look at a spine, corner, back cover or handwritten marking? We welcome requests for extra photographs and condition details before you order. For mystery selections, we can explain the typical condition, although the exact contents may vary.
All comics are supplied bagged and boarded. Any specific condition notes in the listing take priority over this general guide.
