Description
BOYS AND GIRLS OF EVERY AGE — TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW AND STRANGE! Dynamite’s first-ever ongoing comic book series set in the world of the beloved film Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming this January! Written by acclaimed author TORUNN GRØNBEKK (Red Sonja, Catwoman, Thor) and illustrated by the supernaturally talented EDU MENNA, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Shiver of Christmas Town returns to the enchanted lands of Halloween Town and Christmas Town for an all-new tale of adventure that will have readers in stitches!
It all begins with the unveiling of Dr. Finkelstein’s newest creation, specially designed to be the scariest creature ever to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve. But something has gone awry in the process, and the final result is more cute and cuddly than fearsome and menacing. The disappointed scientist hands the newcomer over to Sally for safekeeping, who dubs it Shiver for its freezing breath.
Meanwhile, the Mayor has tasked Lock, Shock, and Barrel with teaching the residents of Christmas Town how to trick-or-treat, as the two realms have embarked on a new campaign to share their holiday traditions. With Christmas Town celebrating Halloween for the first time ever, the trio are taking their assignment seriously — perhaps a bit too seriously! In an effort to make their pranks extra lifelike and terrifying, they decide to “borrow” some ingredients from Dr. Finkelstein’s lab — and end up with much more than they bargained for in the form of the deceptively adorable Shiver!
Boasting a spirited selection of seasonal covers from artists JAE LEE & JUNE CHUNG, SOO LEE, and ALAN QUAH, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Shiver of Christmas Town #1 also features a special selection of artwork from the Disney Library to round out its cover offerings!

Individual issues
Most single issues we upload are new, or selected in the best condition available to us. Vintage copies still have age-related wear: please check the individual listing’s grade, description and scans. We aim for higher-grade examples where possible, and prices reflect condition. A general description is not a guarantee of mint condition.
Common condition abbreviations
- NM · Near Mint
- Very well preserved, with only minor wear or small defects.
- VF · Very Fine
- An attractive copy with a moderate defect or several smaller ones.
- FN · Fine
- More visible wear, which may include a significant defect or several smaller ones.
- VG / G · Very Good / Good

These are broad explanations of common terms, not third-party certification. See the CGC grading scale for a detailed reference.
Mystery bags, bundles & older British comics
Mystery bags and bundles may include comics with markings or more noticeable wear. Older British comics sometimes have a customer’s name or address written in pen or pencil by a newsagent when reserving their copy. These period markings are part of some surviving copies; please check the listing rather than assuming every copy is unmarked.
You’re welcome to ask for more photos
Want a closer look at a spine, corner, back cover or handwritten marking? We welcome requests for extra photographs and condition details before you order. For mystery selections, we can explain the typical condition, although the exact contents may vary.
All comics are supplied bagged and boarded. Any specific condition notes in the listing take priority over this general guide.
